Liar Game Introduction hee hee ok a proper introduction the "Liar Game" ![]() okies basically you can split the people playing this game into 3 groups: one group harbouring evil thoughts and wants more for themselves but are actually rather without much brains; one group havin the brains to see through what others are plotting and are able to manipulate the games; last group consisting of only one person - hopelessly honest and pure at heart. yet actually all 3 groups come under the control of the dealer. (u r in their game, playing their rules. no matter how good u r at the game, u r still under their rules) maybe except for the last group.. Started off with the hopelessly honest Nao receiving invitation to play this "Liar game". It was rather scary to think of people having to potentially bear debt of 100million yen in the beginning but as the game went on, that became just a figure. Maybe used to seeing those huge nunbers; or maybe there's something even more sinister distracting our attention away from money. (money is the root of alll evil?? not.)Round 1 - Cheat or be cheated. 1 vs 1. Winner enters Round 2 Round 2 - Minority Voting. Many-people game. Winner enters Round 3. Revival Round - Restructuring game. Boots one player out. Others proceed to Round 3 Round 3 - Contraband game. Group game. Winning team enters Round 4. Round 4 - Unknown. (not in show) but maybe round 4 is ongoing now outside. people cheating and lying for their own survival. and the game goes on.. till it ends in HELL ![]() I think this show is better than many detective shows because it really makes you think. You are able to figure out stuffs along the way if you think - there are sufficient hints; but not so overwhelming that it makes the answer obvious and predictable. Maybe you are able to figure out some stuff by virtue of the usual plots you see (oh tat person was suspected in the first place, so can't be him/her) - which i think many detective shows r guilty of falling for. You can solve things as though you are figuring them out in the show itself. was able to figure out most of the stuff except for one betrayal almost at the end which din really cross my mind. Okies.. i tot the show will end in a clinche way (which it did). but before watchin the end, and reading some comments from others, i tot it'd end in another saddistic way. so i was lik expecting this twist right at the end - which obviously din come -.- clinche as the ending might be; i stil think not many will wish for the alternative, which can be utterly distressing actually. Ending reveals the true nature of humans. Why we think that she is stupidly honest is that we're too used to hatred, betrayal, cheating and lies. after watching this show, i think that it isn't all that difficult to predict how people will scheme. no matter how they lie or cheat, there will be a plan that they have to follow. Find the plan, find the counter-plan, figure out the plan and you dominate. No matter how smart a person is, he/she can be outsmart because as long as their "smartness" comes from following logic, there can always be a way to solve it. Yet the most unpredictable people are people are Nao - so pure and makes the most honest decisions. The answer is out there in the open for all to see. but the biggest problem - people are unwilling to believe in this sense of pureness and they doubt that true answer. They try to figure out what she's thinking and obviously they cant outsmart her cuz she wasn't intending to be smart in the 1st place. no logic in play. and they collapse. the sadness of society. suspicions and distrust in others. erodes the self. why is the self so weak? because the biggest lie anyone can tell is to oneself - once that lie is debuked, the self collapses. anw, im still hoping to see inherently evil characters in other shows. but they're so hopelessly impossible to create because somewhere along the way, you'd still find that the characters you create have some reasons for their evilness - which isn't wad im looking for. one downfall of the show is to have that 3hr finale. wa! 2hr + of recapping lo =X was expecting so much and din get it lo. Liar Game currently watching "Liar Game" and ahhhh halfway thru (=now), i can just pull my hairs off!!! the girl is far too gullible!! ahhhh.... in the first place, how can she trust someone who has tricked her twice? even if she wan2 play the game with him, she shld be more wary of the rules.. how can she let him explain the rules along the way? obviously shld demand that he list all the rules from the start; otherwise he can just twist the rules along the way to his advantage ma.. and choosing one out of the 2 cards isn't a fair game at all! one card has 2 backs, the other has 1 back 1 front. it ain't 50-50 chance!! if a card was picked with the front showing, it isn't counted. and that's her card. meaning you have 50% chance of picking your card. and 50% chance of your card coming out the right way, making it valid. aka you only have 25% chance of winning each round. it's unfair rite from the start!! how can she agree that it's totally fair?!?! oh ok after i almost pulled my hairs off thinking bout her gullibility, the guy in the show appeared and explained to her the stuff i was so frustrated about. so at least she knew she was cheated and in which part of the procedure she was cheated. *phew* oh yes!!! well done!!!!! the counter-attack tactic the guy thought of was the same one that i was thinking about!!!! yay!!!! the cheater was cheated! well done!!!! *puts hair back* but this show is indeed a very very good show. psychology and mystery together with some logic thinking and reasoning. great watch man! the answers are not predictable yet solvable/thinkable if you reason things out with the hints dropped here and there. and the answer is not totally unthinkable, meaning there's no hints dropped for you. so far so good can get the stuffs (eg. hu betray hu, hu is cheating using wad method, wad the outcome will be etc) right. @ 10:57 AM
我和春天有个约会 songs still thinking about 我和春天有个约会, esp the songs and the stories behind them.. 家豪写给小碟的歌。因而造就小碟的一炮而红。 家豪与小碟春天的约定。一个数十年来都没实现的约定。 二十年的分开,酝酿了这首代表着“虽近但却得不到的幸福”的歌。*stars* favourite!! wells the irony is that, though all the songs are for Xiao Die, i think she's the only person out of the 4 mains that i din really like (i dun dun-like, yet neither do i like) 许多人都希望有段刻骨铭心的凄美故事。 但若真让他们选择,他们仍情愿平淡地过一生。 Friday, December 26, 2008 @ 10:29 AM
eventful day been a rather busy day. first went back to TJ to collect SGC which was due long time ago. lol. okies seems like all the renovation (along my way to school) that was going on for the past 2 yrs have already been completed. GO was undergoing some renovation lol. we almost tot we went back for nothing. actually i do feel like returning to TJ one day, just a random thought.. came home for a big project. haha. painting house. :) quite fun lei actually. used to have rose colour - which appears rather yellow -.- now we're repainting it pure white. which i think it's kinda weird cuz it looks like a totally new house - those type that has just been built and no renovation was carried out yet. somehow i took a nap after finishing my share of work. when i woke up, my forearms were super suan. it feels lik something sour is pouring out of my bones/nerves and not my muscle lo. can't straighten my fingers, neither can i really move my arms. after a while, i reasoned it out to be lactic acid accumulation, so i minimized movement of hands. haha! in fact i had so little strength that brushing my teeth became a prob. and the soft bones of my thumbs hurt. :( probably due to tryin to scap paints off the floor. wee~ wad a eventful day! i want everyday to be like this! i don wan to be doing nothing. im bored! @ 4:33 PM
Merry Christmas ![]() Merry Christmas! :) well maybe christmas ain't any special to me but i guess it's a joyous occasion for many out there. so enjoy ur day to the fullest today! Thanks to all those who sent sms-es of christmas greetings :) (including 2 from unknown sender, but i nv ask back hu they r.. cuz they shld be ppl whom i know, yet i dun hav their no. so to ask them when they sent me wishes out of good will like a bit weird. hee =X) Thanks for the christmas card too! i've forgotten to send msg of christmas wishes. i rmb a year back, i was anxiously waiting for 12am, all ready with my sms to send to my friends. and getting irritated when so many of my msg had delivery failure. yet this year, strangely enough, the thought of sending out smses didn't even cross my mind. haix.. i dunno wad's wrong or wad happened also. it's as though this "action" of mine has just drifted out of my mind. i was only reminded of this "christmas wishes sending act" when the first christmas msg came in at 11.42pm. thought of sending after that, but decided to give up that thought. if i had to be reminded to send those sms, it wouldn't have genuinely came from within myself, so i guess it becomes pointless.. but i'm thankful for all those who remembered and once again, Merry Christmas to all of you! Christmas Eve It's christmas eve! okies actually not much of a diff to me. anw today went out with parents. first to megatech @ expo which was a big disappointment lo! such a small scale exhibition with nothing much interesting in particular. it was indeed more of home technology. and it's not cheap sales lo. just take Panasonic FS3 for example, still selling for $299, with much fewer freebies thrown in (even fewer than what you get in stores) and there was no crowd at all lo. most of the stalls had no one. or maybe cuz it was that hourly sale or somethin and everyone crowded to the ring in the middle. -.- but px of HDD dropping again - 160GB for $79. (9mths ago i bought mine for $139 -.- shld hav waited cuz im not really using that HDD now) next stop was Tampines. shopped around the interchange and found nothing much. headed to Harvey Norman @ Tampines Mart. Okies, it's my first time hearing about and going to Tampines Mart. that place is really quite ulu. it's lik in the middle of a housing estate. haha. anw that Harvey Norman branch was rather ulu too but my dad wanted to get a MP4 from there. spent some time deciding between Zen Stone Plus and some Shiro MP4. in the end settled for Shiro MP4. actually i was trying to ask for Sandisk MP4 for him since it has expandable memory slot. and by some stroke of luck, that ulu brand had memory slot too! discovered this after buying it. lol. finally dinner @ bedok. mum wanted to have Cuttlefish beehoon with Ying Cai (ok i dunno wad it is in English. neither do i know the words in chinese. =X) but i thought it might be closed for holidays (quite lazy to walk all the way there also haha) reverted to original plan of having frog leg @ the new coffeeshop. hu knows, it was closed either for holiday or shut down le. so reverted to original original plan - buy KFC festive meal. on our way to KFC, suddenly saw this fish soup stall - but main thing is, they got sell steamboat! and hence we ended up eating that! quite nice - had tomyum seafood and double fish steamboat. rather on the salty side though. wee~ okies so wad shld i do now? wad show shld i watch now? or movie? hmmms.. @ 12:00 AM
Steamboat buffet okies i have no 10pm show to watch and i finished my Project Jixiang. so by right i can sleep early tonight, but im not used to this idea. and somehow after coming online, i 心血来潮 want to search for steamboat buffet. LOL! and that was how i spent my last 2 hours. anw my conclusion, most steamboat buffet have their own shares of criticism and praises but there's one that has won much praises and not much criticism (the worst being - there's nothing special about it, which isn't all that bad) Paradise on Earth. it's at tanjong katong and from the maps, it seems lik it's just opposite of TKGS, and it's stuck in between 3 patrol stations?! haha. and it's 12.05 already. -.- should i watch Project Jixiang on TV even though i just caught the eps online today? O.o i can stil rmb the scenes tho. =X i want steamboat buffet! or steamboat if no buffet lo.. :( im bored! Tuesday, December 23, 2008 @ 6:54 PM
Project JiXiang okies.. i really think that Project JiXiang is a potentially good show with a poor script =( really quite a waste. show started off well and everything has been laid nicely for further development - be it supernatural, karma etc. the first story was ok but it was completely disjoint from the second story (which is also the last story -.-) the whole show was rather inconsistent - i dun really get the point it is trying to show; or rather the way they put some plots across was incoherent. right from the beginning, it was a murder case from 30yrs ago. and the whole show revolved about this murder conspiracy. just that in between there was this random yellow-shirt-boy case slotted in. -.- and no this is not a mystery case, cuz the murderer was out right from the beginning. Is it trying to figure out what went on? No, cuz JiXiang could forsee the future and read into the past and anw the murderer had flashbacks too. Was it a battle of wits against the bad guy then? No, it was just purely good guy finding evidence to put bad guys in jail and bad guy doesn't escape because he has the brains; he simply had the money to buy off people and even facts. Certain parts were quite unconvincing. Things can get really exciting like what can happen in reality, when suddenly at the crucial moment, something supernatural stuff occurred which changed the whole situation. Gives me the feeling that the scriptwriter din know how to solve the problem he had on his hands and just anyhow put in something to get everything out of a sticky situation. The final final part where the villian died was really disappointing! the whole show hovered around him and just when the scenes 30 yrs ago were about to happen again, suddenly images of "ghosts" appeared and scared him.
Still i think the idea of the story is really great! The prob is just with how certain plots were brought across. Not to mention the cast =)) haha. i guess the whole show is about karma ba. And it's about your own guilt about your past wrong-doings would make you suffer in the future. Maybe there's nothing really supernatural - it's just one's mind acting up. Just that things were put across in a too literal manner; yet not obviously enough to make it a supernatural show. Somewhere there but not quite there. oh ya i think if the shows want to add twists, it should be unexpected and not predictable. it was quite obvious that the guy was an undercover cop and that the policewoman would betray that cop. Just had this sudden thought - what if the reporting officer of the undercover cop is working for the black triad - when it was indeed the plot. Overall too draggy a show. :( and the ending left me with ?_? seems like most of the ATV shows i've watched lik open ending. haha. nvm shall slowly ponder over it.. Monday, December 22, 2008 @ 11:45 PM
randoms wee~ so Project Jixiang is showing everyday at 12.00am, not just Sunday :) managed to catch up till eps 12 online. heard quite a bit of unexpected news around me, not really alot but alarming enough. many things ought to be treasured before we lose them one day. maybe we shouldn't let nitty gritty matters blind our ability to look around us, for if anything were to happen, only regrets are left to stay. maybe that's the reality of life - things come and go. Probably that's the beauty of life too - by virtue of the reality of life, we treasure. The reason why such beauty can turn into a harsh reality is because of the fact that many of us dunno how to treasure. Think - if anything you wanted to stay with you stayed with you, it will soon be taken for granted and its value will diminish. If it goes as suddenly as it comes and u treasure it, it stays as a part of u in ur memory. If u don't treasure it, it remains as a part of u in the form of eternal regrets. Anw so far i think Project JiXiang isn't really that nice a show. Its theme does seem interesting enough - there's superstitions, karma, a bit of mystery and detective element. great cast (many from MDWAV!) - Joey Meng, Kenneth Chan, Benny Chan and others that i quite like but i nv got to know wad their names are. but i think the script was rather disappointing. The striking thing is the lack of development of plots and the theme doesn't come out strongly. A bit like neither here nor there and it got draggy along the way. Oh wells. I still want to watch! and it has started! :) @ 10:51 AM
Personality Test wee~ just did a personality test on facebook and there was this sidenote about what major i should do in college based on the results. #1: Criminal Justice =) #2: Economics #3: Biochemistry #4: Management -.- #5: Law !_! #8: Chemistry #15: Chemical Engineering #61: Philosophy im happy with the results. LOL! and i realise that Project Jixiang is showing every Sun, 12am. So qiao i realised it yesterday, which was the day i started watching this series online. LOL. and yesterday was episode 13 :) and just found out few days back that the scriptwriter for Qian Nu You Hun was 13 too! wohoo~ Looks like i do like the shows that he writes, whether or not i know it's him who wrote them in the first place!
I like the show for its realness - no superhero scenes, no out-of-the-world love story. Just very simple yet strong friendship between the four girls together with their careers, families and love. In fact, 2 of the 4 leads died. Feng Ping - Shy and sweet girl who was greatly dependent on Donny. Maybe choosing him wasn't the smartest choice she could have made, yet it was definitely a choice that she will not regret. Followed Donny to Vietnam in search of a better life and died during the bombings. She had a son Danny who was rather sensible. Initially i thought she was a tragic character who somehow committed herself to a dead end right from the beginning. Yet I guess she's rather fortunate too since she knows what she wants and makes choices that she won't regret, even though that might be bad choices. Nancy - Seemingly tough and arrogant girl, yet she's just someone who would bottle up all her troubles probably due to her Big sister figure to others. She thought she was a smart woman who wouldn't let others manipulate her; yet she was outsmarted by one word - love. She fell for a guy John, who at first was wooing her as part of a bet. They developed true feelings along the way, yet at the critical moment, John left for war and was said to have died in a shipwreck. He returned 3yrs later. Just when happiness was to come knocking on their doors, Nancy was diagnosed to have liver cancer and died soon after. Lu Lu - Probably the happiest amongst the 4. She was a crazy character and often panics over her own absent-mindedness. Rather paranoid too. She was a great laughing point in the show, especially with her big actions over small little things. She laughs and cries easily and hides no feeling. 傻人有傻福, her craziness eventually landed her with Big chicken (lol), the son of the boss. Happily married with 1 son and she's still as crazy as ever despite her age now. Xiao Die - Started off like a protected flower coming from a happy family. She appears to have everything - her career was the best, she had Jia Hao (a talented musician), supportive family. Yet, it was Jia Hao who made her pessimistic, forsaking her career and family to seek refuge (okies she wanted peace but i thought she was more of escaping from reality) in Canada. 3 yrs of waiting and JiaHao hadn't kept his promise of returning. 20 more years of endless waiting, and finally they met again. Their ending (which happened to be the show's ending) was an open one - did she leave for Canada again, or did they get together to perform the song Jia Hao composed specially for her? Been a rollercoaster ride watching this show. Everyone started off young and naive with no worries about life. Slowly as they grew up, they knew more things and been through more obstacles and eventually, tragedies occur one after another. Just when I thought everything sank right to the bottom, and all hopes are lost, miracles happen one after another. Just when I thought happiness is here to stay, suddenly it was taken away from the characters. As they grew up, gone were those days of craziness and in came layers of 忧伤。No longer as energetic as ever, but said/did things with a sense of tiredness. Usually, whenever there's this "big secret" plot in shows, I'd often find that "big secret" not sufficiently secretive or sinister enough. But i rather liked Jia Hao's reason for not returning 3 yrs later which later dragged on for another 20 yrs. Wasn't something that secretive, yet it did leave me with "Oh! so that was what happened!". I think if I'm Xiao Die, I'd react the same way as her. I can empathise with what he has been through, I can feel like I've wronged him all these years. Yet no matter what happened, it cannot changed the fact that I've been through 23 years of sorrows with no form of account coming from Jia Hao. I'd be as stubborn as she was and 执着over what had happened. Perhaps within me, I know I'd regret 那一份执着 and i know that isn't the choice that I really wanted to make, yet I'd still convince myself that that is the path I want to take. 铸成一生的遗憾,唯独回忆陪伴着我。but i think the ending was more of them getting together again. haha.

series of unfortunate events haix.. it was a series of unfortunate events yesterday nite.. couldn't sleep last night. most probably due to that half cup of coffee i had in the afternoon. was super energetic, yet a side of me really wanted to sleep. to make things worse, i had this sensitive nose that kept blowing. it wasn't flu, neither was it really sensitive nose. anw, it just kept running for some reason. and there was this irritating mosquito that bit me the whole night (at least 8 bites in all) and the itch constantly kept me awake. and it bit me on my fingertip, which is not itchy. but it made my finger swell and it felt so hot and the part of the finger was so pumped up with blood. and dunno why my eyes were itchy too. my right eye was much more itchier and hence i rubbed it even more. until both eyes became red, though the redness in the left eye subsided after a while. yet the redness in the right eye persisted till this morning. and i had to wake up at 8am this morning. To understand hmmms.. maybe there are pure souls with kind hearts. maybe there are evil people with ill intent of malice. maybe there are people whom we have good impression of. maybe there are people whom gets us instantaneously disgusted. yet maybe at the end of the day, it's just a matter of the mask that they are putting on. maybe they're revealing their true self. maybe they're putting on a brave front. maybe they're putting on a fake front to hide their true self. maybe they are so used to putting this front that their true self never reveals. i guess there's always a reason behind all happenings. nothing happens without a reason, whether we know of the reason consciously or subconsciously. it's easy to make a judgement; but difficult to understand. even as we condemn an evil soul, perhaps things ain't really wad we are seeing. maybe they just don't care about whatever others think of them, even if it's just a matter of misunderstanding. there are people who can never be misunderstood; there are people who cannot stand being misunderstood for too long and will explain sooner or later; yet there are also people who will just swallow whatever that comes their way and let things be. i guess the golden rule is just to remember that everyone has a story to tell - be it a happy, sad, pleasant or unpleasant one. to understand is to see things from others point of view; not to analyse the situation with our own opinions. and to understand is to see the reasons behind certain events or decisions, independent of rightness or wrongness of that particular thing. to condone or approve is one thing; to understand is another thing. nothing is really one-dimensional. there is always more than one side to things. outing for present !_! Tudou's buffering time tonight is really quite bad =X 1 hr for 7min video. (for desktop) after that spent another 30min for 0sec. -.- after that spent 15min for 9sec. (for laptop) fortunately, after i plugged in my laptop, the speed increased. but then again, does usage of battery/power plug affect internet connection ?_? was considering watching a movie on CR before coming back to watch my series lor. :S anw got to go out yesterday! wee~ haha went to TM and CS to get belated presents with sj. dunno y, i still prefer shopping in Tampines. in the past, it used to be because i din know of the other options. Now, i've tried many other options, but stil prefer the East. Anyway, Tampines changed quite alot. looks like i haven been there for quite some time. hmm there was this random lady who suddenly came to us and handed us a receipt, which can be used to exchange for the gift. LOL! the gift was a towel that was packed in such a way that it resembles a log cake. quite nice siah. :( MDWAV 3 is now on sales at TS. costing only $15.90 i think. ahhh it's difficult to use blogger on safari browser. =X @ 11:53 AM
I have a date with spring with this post, all my blogs would have rather nice numbers of post. currently 1800 :) been watching "I have a date with.. Spring" over the past few days. heard that it's another classic from ATV, and the casts include Joey and Eric and Kwong Wa and Sheren. ![]() knew from the start of the show that it'd be a tragedy, esp since it was revealed that Joey's character will be dead from bomb blasts in the Vietnam War. now that im at eps 12, i think that her fate is much more bitter than i would have thought. :( she was the child of the second wife was ill-treated by the first wife. when her dad died, they were chased out. her mum soon died in a car accident. she knew of this guy Donny, who became her Bf. Yet he turned out to be a gambling-addict and a liar. she doesn't ask much out of the her life. like what she says "in exams, many people would be happy to get 100marks. Yet she's satisfied with just 50marks. maybe Donny hasn't even reached that 50marks, yet the marks can always increase. If it still does not suffice, add her to the equation, and they can reach the 50marks target. No matter what happens, at least they've tried" she gave up another guy who has the power and wealth (though not important to her) and most importantly who can give her the sense of security and is constantly protecting her from afar. she knew she had chosen a guy far from perfect. yet she believes that she has chosen this path, what else can she do? and she finds no use grumbling. and finally, she dies indirectly because of the guy. ![]() haix. the fact that she was a simple girl who made simple choices with simple wishes in life yet she suffered so much for those choices she made really makes her a great tragedy. i thought MXL had a tough enough life; yet in forum discussion, ppl can talk about MXL at great length, yet they often just summarise Feng Ping to be 悲. and many have knowingly or unknowingly pushed this character out of their mind because it's quite a torture thinking about her. Anw.. ERIC FINALLY APPEARED IN EPS 10. :) lol. he looked like a small kid. oops. Monday, December 15, 2008 @ 5:25 PM
Survivor Gabon Survivor Gabon has ended! lol. it's the first survivor episode that i've watched. haha.![]() and i'm glad that Bob is the overall winner!! he was the person that gave me the intelligent and stable feeling when i watched the first episode, and the only person that I had good impression of throughout the entire show. :) he's got the brains, he has the leadership qualities, and he's nice enough for someone to confer him the title of a father figure. he has tricks up his sleeves, but not exceedingly that I would deem him scheming. I would say he's a good player :) and indeed people are happy that he has won! haha. cool~ and i was pretty afraid that Susie might really win it all -.- it'd really be quite diao. she'd have won because there are people who are unhappy with Bob and Sugar, and hence she got the vote. but i dun thikn anyone would cast her the vote for her ability.
and i want to present "The most amusing moment/comment/question" award to: "Was crystal really an olympics gold medalist?" really amused me alot and i just burst out laughing. ROFL! it's like "im a gold medalist. I can't climb up that hill. neither can i stay on course when im blindfolded. I fall into water running across that cylinder and i can't swim." anw i din lik her, probably the one that i din lik the most for the whole show. and i agree with Sugar - she's a big bully. and i think Charlie and Marcus are not gays la. haha. Charlie just loves everyone. LOL! im quite happy for Matty too - since that eps where he proposed to his girlfriend. Winning survivor now is just a bonus, getting his wife would be the biggest takeaway from this show. haha. and corrine is really such a honest nasty person. haha! there's a side of me that hated her nastiness and there's a side that admired her honesty in being nasty. at least she's nasty for a reason; and she doesn't hide her distaste for others, while harbouring nasty thoughts about them. Probably an inconsiderate move; yet she sincerely meant wad she said. But i think she really went too far with her classical nastiest comment since survivor season 1. when u use a person's weakness or soft spot to get back at her, it's really a disgusting move - that's beyond being nasty in an honest sense. Randy is really bitter isn't he? Kenny sort of got me irritated towards the end when he started plotting. The plotting part is not really that bad cuz that's the point of the game. but he behaves as though he has everyone around his fingers - and that arrogance irritates me. well at least he does see that this was his downfall in the game. no matter how intelligent u are, how elaborate ur plans are; when you are dealing with the element of human, there's always chances of screwing things up. luckily he isn't that scheming a person, he's just thinking far too strategically as a gamer. lolx. after today, actually i dun dun-like survivor as much. i was really irritated with the amount of scheming that went on, the fakeness in the show, and the fakeness of the show as a whole. yet i dunno if survivor brought out the worst in human nature; or was it for the sake of the game that the worst side of human was shown. Genuinely nice people whom you can be friend with who had to put on that scheming front for the sake of the game? Or seemingly nice people who are inherently scheming? seeing everything that goes on leaves me uncomfortable, yet knowing that it's just a game - does it make things worst or better? Scheming for the game; or scheming even for games? oh wells. and i personally like the word Gabon. sounds like some bombs going off lidat. -.- @ 11:24 AM
Twilight Twilight okies.. i think it was a rather disappointment. having heard so much about this series and seeing how many people going crazy over the book/show, i think the show wasn't up to my expectations. mayb cuz it was a movie and there weren't much time to develop the plots.Anw some characteristics of the vampires seem so familiar. Speed, strength, immortality, drinks blood, changes eye colour. and they each have a unique power. i din really like the choice of cast. or maybe i'm not used to english shows after all. i just din lik the way how things develop in an explicit manner. i still prefer to see artistes acting in such a way whereby the absence of something tells even more than the presence of that thing. and i think what's alluring about this show is the novelty of a human-vampire romance and looking at vampires from another point of view - no longer the undeed; nor the powerful ones up there leading a scary life that seems romantic to them. Rather they can be kind creatures not feeding on human blood and just like human, they can face the fate of being hunted. the problem is, this isn't my first time seeing such plots. in fact it's so lik MDWAV, and since MDWAV is the vampire show for me, Twilight will inevitably be inferior in comparison. there's quite a bit of logic gaps in this show and the emotional aspect of this show isn't overwhelming enough to divert my attention away from noticing such gaps. i liked only one scene - that's the baseball match. esp when the enemies smelt Bella and the whole cullens family jumped into her defence - that was pretty cool. another ok scene could be when Bella is the hunted, but it gets boring after a while. oh and i liked that split second when Bella was looking up online for info about wad Edward might be. -.- random enough. when i first heard about the series, i thought it would be a good read since the covers of the books were so mysterious and cool. later when i found out that it's more of a romance story, i thought maybe it wouldn't have the X-factor that i expected it to have. I dunno about the book, but after watching the movie, i stil think it's more of a love story, just so happen that one of them is a vampire. There's much more things that i hoped the Twilight series will cover, but i haven't seen those elements yet. ratings? hmmm.. Sunday, December 14, 2008 @ 12:29 AM
0106 class outing hmmms. spending almost an entire day outside does good for my eyesight. things seem clearer than what they were for the past few days. and i never noticed that the hour and minute hand of my clock looked like this. *randoms* i guess i should start noticing things that i have been neglecting all these while. anw, today was class outing! 0106 outing! :) met up with qh and nerd first and had Long John Silver. their cajun chicken was quite tender and nice but VERY VERY VERY VERY salty. later we just roamed around and thought over some stuff. okies maybe i m the one hu's thinking about some stuff, thinking about what is it that i shld be thinking about. :S had dinner with the rest of the class at Swensens. Wa! that branch like very ex siah. the norm price is 20++-30++. Anw that's not the point la. haha. it's quite a rare meet up session. throughout the year, there were numerous "class outings", but the turnout wasn't as complete as today. i so badly was trying to find out what the scandal is during the outing. LOL. or maybe that wasn't really wad's bothering me, i simply dunno wad's bugging me - there seems to be something that i ought to be thinking about or find out about, but i dunno wad it is. so simplest solution - just take it that i want to find out about the latest confirmed scandal lo. haha turned out to be big disappointment cuz everything was just a misunderstanding. -,- haha but it's all just for laughs so that's it to the whole saga. took some photos. chatted a bit here and there. wandered around that huge vivocity and ended up in harbourfront. okies i din really talk that much or wad, but it's quite a good feeling just seeing others chatting - seemingly like the good old days. i wonder how long such can last, but shan't think too much about the future that never comes. looking forward to the next outing - post-christmas and pre new year. LOL. or wadever the sequence is. haha. quick! photos!! P.S. *claps* congrats to MDWAV blog for reaching its 100th post. :) Friday, December 12, 2008 @ 6:07 PM
MDWAV 1 finished watching MDWAV1. hmm i can say that to me, it is not the best of the 3 series; but no matter what, being the first series, it will always have a special standing. still contemplating which is the best - MDWAV 2 or 3. i guess the greatest downfall of MDWAV1 is that many things 不到味。many of the plots/emotions didn't come as intensefully as in MDWAV 2. even though their onscreen chemistry can be considered good, yet it's somehow a notch lower than the subsequent series. many concepts came across half-heartedly, lingering between rushed and draggy.
but i still like the series after all ^^ just some thoughts about the show that might make it better. but considering the fact that 13 had to change his script and casts last minute due to deaths, it's really good already. liked 4 parts of the show most :)
and im left puzzled as i try to think thru some stuff linking the 3 series together. esp linking the VCD ending of MDWAV 3 to concepts over the 3 series. was just thinking.. were we all on the wrong track? The question is not about whether Tian You did bite Xiao Ling - rather could it be that at the crucial moment, Xiao Ling stabbed Tian You or something? because..
and if i were to look at the non-linearity concept introduced in MDWAV3, Tian You's reincarnation line could be: Tian You --> Guo Hua --> Jian Tou. If my speculation is correct, this would seem reasonable because Guo Hua will die to be reincarnated into Jian Tou who doesn't die as a Shen Long. and anw, i think tian you should bite xiao ling. he doesn't want her to be the same monster as him - but nobody actually treats him as a monster. he has never really sucked human blood before and he's stil living. plus, wad's wrong with biting someone to "suffer an eternal fate of loneliness" when the two person truly in love have each other? their fate could be one of eternal happiness. but of cos im feeling quite uncomfortable thinking about this, but i haven found a way out to suggest the alternative - letting the one you love die. Losses and happiness often we are preoccupied with our losses and tend to overlook what we ought to treasure around us.. when faced with setbacks, we tend to count our losses. during happy times, we take those for granted. seldom do we do, "oh that was such a happy moment" for every single happy things. yet we do go "aiya why lidat one" when something unpleasant happens. so now if we think that life is bad. wad if one day, someone comes along and tells you, let me bring you back in time and you change your history? then one will start counting one's losses of happy moments shld their current memories disappear. that's when happy memories become prominant - when you are on the verge of losing them. and the losses you make in the second scenario is definitely more painful - even though such things don't happen. you only learn to treasure those dear moments when you are about to lose them; and you know that you are going to lose them soon after you really treasure them. if u have the option of changing history, and you realise that you have no treasurable memories to lose, then you are the saddest case of all. even till the last moment, you have no happiness to speak of. given a chance to travel back in time, knowing that it will definitely change your current state of life, would you still go? What if you know for sure that you will lose people/things that you treasure the most? What if what you are going to lose is an uncertain fate? which is worse? but then again, we are always living in the past. the present never exists. can anyone confidently point out any moment to be the present? even as you say "this is the present", that moment of you saying that is already the past. and the future never comes, because future is a concept that comes after future. the past. a day at NUS almost overslept my stop today. :S was actually at vivocity le, but there were so many ppl on the bus blocking my view that i thot it wouldn't make a differene whether i sleep or not. when i woke up, i tot i was at this unknown place. nv see before. dun tell me i missed the nus stop?! so i waited and waited for a good stop to get down (can get to the opposite stop very easily de) then luckily, the signboard Kent Ridge Park appeared. PHEW! nv overshoot =X and as i was walking to the internal bus stop, ahhhh the bus zoomed past me. i tot needa wait 15-17min de lo. luckily it was during peak hours and hence the bus came like within 5-7min. i was late, but others were even later. by like half an hour, and some din turn up cuz was sick. hence it wasn't all that bad. and during lunchtime, we were thinking of giving some Asian Bistro restaurant a try - cuz the menu outside say until quite cheap. 4-6 lidat. the moment we stepped in - wa, so dark siah. and it's like a 黑店. on opening the second door, suddenly got alot of waiters and waitresses. asking how many of us, leading us to the seat. and worst still, ppl inside all adults - you dun c casually dressed students chatting around. then we were like "are we at the right place??" when we looked at the menu, it was different from wad we saw outside. AHHH!! and at some secluded place, there was the students set lunch - the one we saw outside, but it's available only from 2pm. somemore it's for takeaway only. don't forget to add the service charge, takeaway charge and all those nonsense. i was waiting for the waitress to confirm this package doesn't exist until 2pm, when we just decided to run out of the place. haha! SO MALU! but it was quite a fun experience. in the end settled for subway. eat until so bloated. and this time the counter person asked in a weird manner - all the vege?? instead of wad vege do you want. then i lazy to ans so much then i say ok lo. in the end, the onion and olive were so disgusting. YUCKS! never will add them into my subway sandwich siah. :S and somehow the cheese topping became double cheese - which makes the sandwich not as nice. i think just right should be the key - too much; too little = :S and i think the red wine sauce isn't nice! =X then went bugis. ahhh.. can't find anything that i want. it seems as though the world is changing in terms of style or whatsoever, and im not keeping up with it. neither do i see the need to keep up with it. and hence everythign around me is like so foreign lidat. lol. anw, we were a bit siao ding dong at OG. haha! lik trying to chase away some devils or something. can laugh at racks, cups, metal spoons, some bottles for containing soy sauce but really look lik those type that bartender use to show off their skills de. and i recall one year back, when another group of us were staring at that million hair advertisement. LOL. watching it 8 times for like 40min - in the middle of the shopping centre. haha! so glam. and muahaha. bugged others about MDWAV. no no, it's called sharing knowledge :) things u nv knew offscreen. "herh! scandal!" im still bored. -.- Monday, December 08, 2008 @ 6:21 PM
@ 5:30 PM
Bored I'M BORED!! :S it has been barely a week since exams ended. and im so bored. :( watched so many movies in the meantime until im sian of buffering movies le. started on MDWAV 1 though. :) zhen zhen is really a likeable character - little wonder why she was my favourite character when i was stil in pri sch. even though the way i view people has changed over the years, she is still a character that i won't don't like. though i can't stand people who have this 可怜 look and always need people to protect, i think zhen zhen still doesn't fall under this category even though she might appear to. 可怜兮兮的人令我厌烦, 因为他们的好并不是因为他们心地好,而是因为他们害怕。but in zhen zhen's case, she's really inherently good in nature. and she's nice because she's really nice. when there's a need for her to be "Evil", she will have a strong stand and take on that evil role. she still has a mind of her own even though she's nice to everyone - and that's the main differentiating factor that makes her a character that i stil like :) yet sometimes i pity her.. nobody seems to truly understand her, even though what others are doing is really for her own good - or at least that's their intention. everyone wants to protect her because she's so nice. they want to hide the truth from her; they want to continue to paint a rosy picture of the world for her; they want to see her happy; they don't want to see her with any worries; they don't want to see any harm come to her. nothing wrong with this, and personally i will also want to protect her too. nobody has the heart to break the truth to her. all because they see her as that innocent angel that seems so pure - and i agree with this viewpoint too. yet for her to live in this false sense of happiness - is this truly wad she wants? does she really want everyone to lie to her for her good? is she really incapable of knowing the truth about the world? is she really as weak and fragile as what everyone thinks? is what everyone doing truly for her good, or so they assume? or.. maybe they just can't stand the potential guilt of having made her sad.. put it another way, she's innocent, but she's not stupid - in her heart i guess she knows wad's going on, but because of her pure heart, she believes that all those lies are for her good, so she continues being the blur one and let the lies continue. Anw, im still bored. i dunno wat to do!! ARGH!!!~~ bored!! Saturday, December 06, 2008 @ 12:14 PM

Cape No. 7 海角7号 Cape No. 7 海角7号 hmm the title of the show din really catch my attention. though the soundtrack was nice, it sort of irritated me when the radio kept playing those tunes day in and out. but after watching the show.. i think it's really a great show worth watching! i dunno if i liked/din like the show and what i liked/din like about the show. but the show just made you want to watch on - it's not thrill nor excitment that makes you want to find out what's next. rather, it was the sincerity of cast and production crew in makin this movie with such simple yet touching plots which gave me the "feel good" feeling, making me want to carry on watching. A group of impossible band members trying hard to pull their acts together for the live gig. 7 love letters delivered 60yrs later to an address that is no longer in existence. A story of hope and love. Maybe we have forgotten these qualities, but this movie brings back the memory of their existence. i personally liked the plot of the 7 letters alot. it doesn't take up alot of the show time, but i liked this idea and the way they were brought across. im not very sure about the content of the letters. but i liked the jap narration of the letters and how the images from 60yrs ago seems to flicker on and off. such subtle treatment of the plot, which is nicely woven into the main plot. (though to me the letters is sorta like the main plot) nothing explicitly shown nor said, nothing fanciful - yet they were simple words of regrets coming from a love story which never had an ending. ![]() and the live performance given by the band was great! their hard work paid off; they enjoyed the stage; and the audience had a great time. "这是孔雀之珠,她会守护着你坚贞不移的爱情." The ending was great.. very nicely done.. two stories, two different generation; interconnected by the human spirit of love.. 4.5/5 @ 3:30 PM
Money No Enough 2 Money No Enough 2 钱不够用2 hmm.. it's a continuation of Jack Neo's style. Sacarcism to the government; speaking out for the public, laughing at some singapore trend - all cleverly done with elements of humour.as i was watchin it, some plots did touch me. but somehow it din really leave a long-lasting impact on me. or maybe my after-thoughts after watching Cape No. 7 was too intense ba. :S initially as i was watching, i was rather disappointed. cuz jack neo has previously claimed that this sequel had more depth to the interpretation of "money no enough". at the beginning, i thought his interpretation of money was still skin-deep only though at the same time i was wondering why the show appeared to be ending so soon.. somewhere along the middle.. the plots started to reveal itself. i guess it was a show that no longer measured the value of money. rather it was measuring the value of what money cannot buy. you think you are rich when you have money; and you are poor when you don't have it. wells, actually you can be rich without money, so as long as you are still a human being governed by feelings. this was shown from how the mum treated her sons, and how the sons treated her. but i think many things was said/done too explicitly. thought it was too 煽情 for my liking. obviously jack neo is trying to tug on the common problems people face nowadays - tat is, focusing too much on money and neglecting what should truly matter to us. and since many of us are guilty of this, we get easily emotionally swayed by the show. i used to be wowed by how jack neo's show can touch us easily by his previous shows. but now, on 2nd thought, maybe i dun lik the way he handled the plots after all. something more subtle would be better. something less explicit. and something more universal (less Singapore-oriented.) maybe im really too affected by Cape No. 7. Indeed there could be some Taiwan aspect of the show that i can't appreciate, yet they were mostly so subtle that i din feel it (unlike the ERP, coupon, parking etc) and the spirit of the show was the human spirit of love and hope VS the overly-singapore feel of Money No enough. (and the mother-son plots were overly done though universal) 3/5? Thursday, December 04, 2008 @ 5:59 PM
Rule #1 Finished watching Rule #1 (after Matrix trilogy loaded so slowly) okies, i was told that there's a smart twist at the end. so all along i was trying to speculate wad the twist could be.. ![]() maybe.. the cops are already dead, so they're the ghost? maybe all the scary things are just reflective of the guilt and horror in our inner self - hence the rule that there is no ghost? mayb everything is just a dream (but not likely since people have told me it's a smart twist) but all my guesses were wrong. haha. in fact, i was wrong from the start. SPOILERS FROM NOW ON. all along i thought the rule #1 is the valid rule - turned out that it was just a beautiful lie to keep the horrors of the "world" (in the show) from the general public. yes - there is ghost in the world. and i think i was overly concered about the twist that was about to come; such that when something different came along, i thought that was the twist - which made me think that the twist wasn't really smart. -.- but it turned out that all those weren't the twist =X towards the end, when the two cops were trying to reason out that they will kill whoever that comes along, i thought that the twist would be - one of them is the ghost-possessed person. (and there was some hints about this when the 2 cops began to question each other - what if i m the ghost?) then i tot, ok maybe the wife of ekin is the ghost - since it was his last day at work, so if he were to have to kill his wife with his hands, then it'd be a great tragedy (so mayb that's the twist that affected so many people?) - and it turned out that i was a victim of the twist. okies so the wife was the ghost. and just when i tot i solved the twist.. turned out that everything that just occurred was just a lie. -.- AAAHH!! so all along i was trying to reason out a twist, that was part of another twist; and still feeling happy that i solved the twist. so essentially, i haven't solved the real twist. lol! ![]() ![]() and the real twist? okies there's actually 2 overlapping layer of truth and lies. what you saw intially is the lie that Shawn cooked up for his supervisor. what happens at the extreme end (with all those flashbacks) is the reality that occurred. what was shown initially was that ekin's wife was the ghost, who passed the "ghost virus" to ekin and shawn was forced to shoot ekin - the lie. what really happened was - the guy seeking revenge alr passed the virus to fiona who then passed it to shawn. in the house, shawn shot ekin not because ekin was the ghost, but that shawn was the ghost. i appreciate the twist and yupz, it was quite a smart one. but somehow i din really like the way it was brought across. it was a bit too rushed - but then again, a rushed twist will leave people with the overwhelming effect and that's when ppl get wow-ed by twists. i think they shouldn't shoot the ending such that they're 2 distinct incidents. rather, they should just totally overlap the 2 endings - as in, literally show some shots from ending 1 and then some from ending 2 such that it confuses the mind, making you wonder what's real and what's not. and maybe they should end with Shawn receiving that wine bottle from the supervisor with a smile. but essentially i think wad the movie was trying to bring across was the idea that "What you see might not be what it is - don't guess" i think i'd give it a 4/5 since it did leave me puzzled and stunned for a moment, even though i might not really agree with the way that the scenes were brought across. who knows - our existence might be the real greatest lie ever. What you see might not be what it is. @ 12:22 PM
Checklist for Holiday muahaha.. im so gonna set a checklist for my holiday!! :) Watch these shows
Read these books

Nokia N97 wow Nokia's new-released phone N97 is really quite a breakthrough for Nokia series. but seems like the phone is rather laggy. :( ![]()
Anw the next phone must have these features (no compromise :P): FM radio, at least 5MP camera, touchscreen, WIFI, bluetooth. other features are secondary. hmms. but just by looking at these few features i have stated, seems like the phone wun be cheap.. =S Wednesday, December 03, 2008 @ 11:16 PM
some thoughts.. there's so many global issues ongoing now. as those incidents come, we express our sentiments, be it in the form of sadness, hatred etc. yet soon, we will forget what has happened and life still goes on. maybe we don't literally forget what has happened, just that the incidents have faded into the background. maybe we're in a society that forgets.. anw, i think that people do change with them - at least the self they display. or maybe they don't change - either you're just finding more about the person that you din know previously, or the person is doing something that isn't him or her. anyhow, the person you might know few years back might not turn out to be the person that you are seeing now. oh wells. just hope that the few of us wun turn out to be any different from the them that we knew of each other back then. @ 1:28 PM
changed blog skin sigh.. was trying to test some blog skins on my random blog. then suddenly when i saved the template, it turned out that my test blog was my actual blog. and hence i lost the previous blog skin. and i lost all my links. haix. gotta rebuild from scratch. or maybe it's destined. somehow something helped me made up my mind to change my blog and to desert things that din really matter to me. because only those that truly mattered will resurface after the loss. @ 10:39 AM
randoms alrights, i shall be random.. The textbooks that followed me for Sem 1 - MLE, 2 LSM and Reasoning and Persuasion textbook :) not to forget my labtop that accompanied me :) lolx. and the laptop bag (thanks) oh no! i just dug out the timetable for MA1506.. and now i have 7hr lesson for Friday.. zzz.. nvm, it's ok.. tried to fit in my EG module. and i realised.. i have no choice but to take the 8.00am timeslot. haix. but it's okie.. i think noone will compete with me for that weird timeslot ba -hopefully.. and my MA1506 tutorial slot apparently clashes with my IT1005 slot. -.- but that's not my prob cuz it's preallocated - shall wait for them to resolve the clash. haha. finally fitted everything. except for MA1506 tutorial. and EC2101 tutorial (found 4 suitable slots)
Exams from 27/04 to 5/5. yay! when CORS start, i just gotta bid and i'll have no worries :) actually it's quite fun piecing your timetable - as long as you have the experience of bidding. and now i have no woes of having not enough points - cuz not bidding for GEM/SS. *glads* @ 10:08 AM
Sem 2 Timetable wee~ my Sem 2 timetable is out! ok la, partially out. haha. still in B06 :) but the difference is that.. my frens are joining me in that group too! yay! esther and ping coming along! together with some others that im not that familiar with, but i guess we'd know each other better after being together in the same tutorial group for 4 modules. and... actually.. the timetable for Chem eng next sem is a 3-day week!! BUT my tutorial group has lab sessions and tutorials on Wed and fri too.. zzz.. making it a five day week. BUT they're held only for a few weeks - so i will stil get 3 day week for a few weeks. and mostly 4day week. and the good news is.. we thought we will have alot of lab sessions, turned out that only one module has lab! - and that's a chem lab! yay!! :) apart from my 4 cores, i gotta bid for my CTW this sem. oh wells, gonna be yet another GP module, hopefully it's as interesting as my GEM!! and i think im gonna overload next sem - but i dunno if i wanna take FASS exposure modules or Econs module. hmmms... okies.. let's see.. after i pieced my school and exam timetable together, i realised i can't take FASS exposure modules. okiess.. and the only EC module i can take would be Macroecons analysis. oh wells, it's a bit within my plan, so it's ok. tat solves my dilemma - my timetable conveniently removes one of the variable, making me stuck with just one choice. LOL! but i'll have 5hr straight of lessons my Friday with no lunch break. sigh.. it's ok.. i'll create lunch hr for myself :) okies.. my timetable isn't as slack as i thought. -.- 4 cores, altogether 6 modules - i must be dreaming to even hope that it'd be a nice timetable. LOL. and i haven added in MA1506 yet. Tuesday, December 02, 2008 @ 8:13 PM
Final Exams ended le! OH MAN! cleared my LAST exam le :)) *celebrates* and to add on to the good news - just checked my LSM CA grade. *phew* i was rather scared when i heard that the whole cohort did very well for CA, so getting a C doesn't mean you are doing badly - meaning that you can easily can a C despite doing reasonably well. and i started thinking back about my essay and practicals.. but.. luckily.. it's a A grade! phew. ok la, the A doesn't mean that you are better than the rest (since all of us differ by a small margin only), but seeing a A is more comforting than seeing a C ma.. YAY! had K-session with esther, shuxin and ping :) wanted to have klunch, but apparently their set lunch was sold out. after negotiating with the person blah blah, we were still persuaded to take the high-tea set. (i still think it's a scam, though we kinda gained a bit from it) it's 4hr singing session with a high-tea set for $20.60. we were supp to stop at 4.30pm, BUT no one stopped us, so we sang on till 6pm. i bet we could stay longer but i guess we were all tired ba. quite a fun k-session. we din really sing the latest hits (if got, mostly chosen by me), mostly concentrated on some songs that we liked - which might be really quite old. but hey, it's quite a nice feeling mans. and we agreed on this point - some old songs can really bring you "into the mood" and make you wanna sing your hearts out to it. they might not require the best of techniques, but it leaves you with a "Feel good" factor in you. one example - 爱如潮水 :) Anw *promises myself* won't go kbox for quite some time to come. firstly, $$ - think i spent nearly a 100 on K this yr, or rather this half of the yr. secondly, im really quite sian of it - the thing that i like about k is to be able to go crazy with your frens. (but addiction sets in rather easily... ...) thirdly, my voice often spoils after a k-session (which takes quite some time to recover) :( so i really need a long, well-deserved break for my voice, which has yet to fully recovered from the loss of voice almost a yr ago. :( Okies. just a brief summary of the final exams - don't get cheated by rather easy mid-term tests, it simply means that you are gonna get it for the finals -.- But anw, it's all over. whatever i wanted to say previously when the exams were ongoing - it's pointless saying now, be it good news or bad news. now, just enjoy this holiday! :) Monday, December 01, 2008 @ 4:55 PM
明天以後 明天以後(Live) - 林峯 泳兒 The MV yay! got the chinese version. :) it's a nice song for duet. i like the way they coordinate and the overlapping layers of singing. haha. hmm i think this song is growing on me. esp after watching the MV, i think it's really a nice song. i like the way the MV was shot - the contrast between black and white. though the 2 colours are just beside each other, yet they are just so distinctly different. their expressions really suit the song too. nice duet - one of the nicest in recent years. @ 4:15 PM
the forgotten likefulness currently listening to Yuan Liang Wo on radio. how many times have I said i liked a particular song when that like-ful-ness lasts only for a short while before a new song comes along and i say once again, i like that song which once again is soon to be forgotten maybe i don't forget the song, neither do i really forget that i liked that song maybe it's just that the song fades into the background and it slowly disappears from the active part of my memory all that being said, what's the value in liking something then, if the word "like" has been used loosely till the point that it really doesn't mean anything much. maybe there is really a need to have a mind of your own - to like something that really mattered to you, not because it is nice; or because others say that they're nice; or you think you like that thing because of the form it possess. only then will that something likeable be there to stay for long and find meaningful existence in one's memory. and the toughest question of all - "What is it that you truly like?" |
