Grad Lo!

30-06-2012 The day I was officially conferred my degree.
13-07-2012 ChBE commencement day.
26-07-2012 ChBE PhD matriculation day.

N.U.S Chemical & Bio-molecular Engineering Class of 2012. I really enjoyed every bit of the four years here. Was really touched by this little momento prepared by the department. Rigorous curriculum and training of the analytical mind - so now here am I, as a B.Eng, and hopefully grown to be a thinking individual.

Grad lo! Happy to the max! =D It has been a good four years of my life. Was really lucky to meet a real close group of friends. The funny/crazy/suspicious things that we did were indeed memorable. As 'throw face' as those might be, but hey, we're young (and silly) only once! We had our fair share of minor conflicts, but what does not tear us apart bonds us stronger together. So here are we, reunited as one again :)

There's someone whom I really should acknowledge for guiding me to become who I am now - and he's none other than my UROP/FYP supervisor, current boss and future PhD supervisor. As a lecturer/tutor, he remotely spurred me to think deeper and more critically with the extensive amount of questioning fired during our module presentation - think that was when I truly started to try having a more thorough understanding of the materials. Subsequently, in a smaller-class module, I was gradually trained to be more confident in articulating my thoughts. As a research supervisor, he gave me the room and flexibility to explore but was always available to help, if needed. Beyond that, he's basically a mentor who shared many personal experiences, insights and advices; and I enjoyed all the conversations we had. Indeed a worthy boss to follow and I'm sure the four (or more) years ahead will be a good one.

Special mentions to my secondary school friends whom we are still in active contact with. Uni presented us with diverse opportunities and experiences, and all of us have changed in some ways or another. But in spite of those changes, our friendships remained. If the time of ~ a decade did not erode away this invisible bond, then it's truly here to stay. We do not meet often, but when we do, we're all comfortable as old friends. :) Not everyone's presented in the following photos, but we all know who we are!

Different faculty, different life, different career. But who cares, we all speak the same language of Grad lo! wee!~

Thank you N.U.S for everything you have given me. I'm proud to announce that I was here! (and er, I'm still here. xD)
