It's all about anime songs Pet Shop Boys - It's A Sin (Neon Genesis Evangelion AMV) I know that i quite like this song when i was younger. There was this vague memory of the song being linked to Neon Genesis Evangelion, which i thought was the first time i heard this song. Now, my impression/memory has been confirmed. Here's the video I saw back then... "Everything I've ever done, everything I've ever said, everywhere I'm going to - It's a sin" Fly Me to the Moon - Claire (Ending theme of NGE) I've always liked this song, but i never quite remembered where I first heard it. Many versions came and went, people around me liked this song too and I've sourced for the music to send to them too. But nothing sounds quite right. Till I re-watched NGE did i realise that this is the version that first "caught my ears". It's still the version that i like best after hearing so many alternative versions. Since i'm on this.. Here's Theme Song of NGE - Zankoku Na Tenshi No One of the best anime theme song - err i haven't watched a lot of animes though. This tune has remained in my head though since i last heard it when i was very very young. ~1/2 my current age? And the weird anime Serial Experiment Lain that always give me a biazzare feeling. I don't fully understand the anime, but it has this captivating aura that keeps me thinking amidst all the confusion. Duvet - Boa [Lain Opening] (had to get the shortened version cuz it came with the "Present Day Present Time HAHAHAHHA") I might consider re-watching Lain for the 3rd time cuz there's so much left for me to ponder about and to understand. Yes or No. When someone passes a comment, but ends up saying just joking, do you think the person... 1) Passed a truthful comment (un)intentionally, decides that it wasn't a nice thing to say and tries to rectify the situation by saying just joking. 2) Passed an evil comment but has no direct relevance to you, aka said out of fun, and truthfully tells you just joking. What an eventful day! wee~ all my mini informal "presentations" are done and over with for these few weeks. :D so far i like most of my tutorials and tutors cuz they're really nice people. I'm actually enjoying my Monday, even though for certain weeks, I'm ladened with 4 tutorials on the day itself. Anw, I suspected that a girl who takes 30 home has a Nokia 6260 Slide (silver) - one of my targetted phone. I affirmed that suspicions today -.- lol so i undertook a mini "stalking" mission today, which translates to me sitting behind her on bus 30 -.- cuz i wanted to steal more look at the phone ma - it's so ulu that i can hardly find live picture on the net / hello! shop =X Anw, the silver version wasn't as bad as it seems on picture cuz it's shinier than it appears to be. A bit like my previous samsung phone. Grrr.. while walking out of school to bus 30 busstop today.. A car went past a puddle of water, which conveniently splashed on me. Note that the pavement that i was taking is really narrow. To the right, I have the medium-sized open drain. To the left, I have the road -.- Aka there's nowhere for me to siam. haix. so my poor jeans, t-shirt and bag was splashed with dirty water.. Anw, i get this feeling that one of my bag handle is gonna snap any moment. The white thread's already coming out. -.- I decided to use the sling portion of the bag instead, and the sling snapped -.- Fortunately, it worked by some kind of shape-fitting mechanism, so by squeezing a bit here and there, i forced the 2 metal pieces to fit into one another again. I think... I think i've.. - Gotten tired of playing with facebook. - Got rid of my addiction to maple. - Re-engaging myself with animes and jap shows. Hmm is it just me who gets tired of things after a while, or is it that.. HK dramas are getting too repetitive? Must be watch too much of them le. I din know "moderation is key" works for TV shows too. LOL! Anw, I've finally re-watched Neon Genesis Evangelion after getting the impression in Pri Sch that it's a good show (but remembering close to nothing in terms of details). Hmm.. It's really very good and I bet I din understand 1/2 or even 1/10 of the materials back then. I especially like shows which feature characters having an untold story behind them/internal mental struggles, which gives them the multi-dimensional outlook to the otherwise rather flat characters. So far, I think that Shinji... Doesn't know how to face the circumstances he is in, especially he himself as a person. Probably those thoughts ain't happening in reality, but the make-believed/imagined fears hinders him from finding himself. Despite having such pessimistic outlook to life, he still tries hard to assert his existence, through others' need for him etc, but never via who he really is in itself. It's a struggle - existing or not-existing? Wanting to face himself/his responsibilities but has urge to run away because of lack of security/confidence; yet does not wish to just simply disappear. The choice is out I have decided! (well, at least i believe as of now..) My choice will be SE C510 :D   And my choice of colour will be.. Silver. It's tempting to get the black for a change, but the shiny looks of the silver version makes it irresistable. Come to think of it, I've never had a black phone before - 4 silvers, 1 white and 1 blue. Handphone Frenzy The handphone frenzy continues. =Z I'm tempted by... - T700 cuz of (1) looks (2) lightweight (3) its shiny appearance (4) cheap price (in fact it comes free with contract, if im not mistaken) but there's no AF on camera  - C510 cuz of (1) camera (2) relatively good looks (compared to C901 :O) but it isn't very much different from my current phone. :S  - W595 not for any reasons. It's just a random phone that popped into my list. Actually if its picture quality is good, it should be a good phone to have. (esp the new sandy gold colour ^^)  - Nokia Slide 6260 cuz (1) 5MP camera with flash and AF (2) has wifi, which basically accounts for everything that i hope to see in a new phone. But (1) it's Nokia (2) it's quite ugly IMO (3) it isn't exactly cheap, though for its function, the price is reasonable.  - N85 for not many reasons just that singtel is having a sales @ $198 for 2-year contract -.- I suppose i can call it one of the power phone of nokia this year (obviously overwhelmed by N97 and to lesser extent, N86 though) I seriously dunno wad's wrong with its price. To me, it isn't ugly neither does it appeal to me anyway. And i bet i don't need alot of those functions (more functions, more lag :S) certainly not getting this phone. It's just a random impulse based on non-rational thoughts.So the question is one of "tri-lemma". Looks or Function or Price? The phone that's balanced on all 3 aspect would be Nokia 6260 Slide, but it's Nokia. Holding price constant, T700 wins in looks whereas W595 (music) and C510 (camera) ties in terms of function. I really do wish that I can choose T700 (just a feeling of the moment) but (1) it's the oldest phone of the lot (2) it has small screen but doesn't really bother me anyway (3) No AF on camera - I've never used a camera phone without AF, so i really dunno how bad this is :S Anw, as for my need for camera on phones (1) I don't actually have a lot of expectations - I dunno wad's purple fringing or noise etc. I just need clear and rich picture. (2) I don't really use my camera on phone alot actually - just recently tat's all (cuz i realise i hav a cybershot phone and having not used the camera for nearly 1/2 year defeats the purpose of the cybershot branding -.-) (3) I just needa take candid and casual shots :D As for music, SE does the trick nicely. I dunno how to differentiate megabass or clear bass or tremble and stuff - as long as it produces clear music relative to me, it's fine. N85 @ $198?! :O :O :O :O extreme shockness!! singtelshop is selling N85 for $198!!!! Can you believe it?! I'm so tempted to get it! Phone is dead and alive. My phone is dead and alive. There's no contradiction :D First, it was semi-dead cuz it hung on me. hence i had to remove the battery from the phone. unfortunately, my approach was from the wrong side (near the SIM card) and somehow when i used force, a golden-looking thing flew out. It didn't appear familiar to me, neither did any visible part of my phone seemed flawed. so i thought, ok maybe it's just some extra stuff. removed battery and switched on phone again. who knows, msg "pls insert SIM card" appeared :`( waited for 2 hrs (in class ma) yet the msg persisted. in that state, i was unable to take photo or even get past to the menu. hence in my haste, i just inserted the golden metal piece somewhere. 2hrs later.. me and my fren were on bus 30 trying to fix the phone. tried to figure where is wad; and we couldn't arrive at any conclusion. (we need electrical engineers! HAHA!) the last ditch attemp was to squeeze the SIM card, together with the golden metal piece back into the SIM slot and wish for it to work. miraculously, it did! "searching.. Singtel" came the reception! O.O tried the functions, and the camera din work!! hence removed the back cover and replaced it again. tried camera function again and.. it worked!! my phone is alive again! so it takes 2 chemical engineers (wanna-be) to get a dead phone alive again. 梦。醒。时分 从梦中惊醒。生活中的小事情真会令人心寒与害怕。 Anw to continue from my "unfortunate events", i actually got a blister from sweeping floor/filing my shoe's wire (they put it there for decoration -.-), which then burst. but it's ok actually. small injuries cant really hurt much. :D Had my first CTW lesson today - lol i was quite nervous actually.. cuz going by myself ma =X it was ok, quite fun actually. Just that i thought it'd be even more interesting if i could participate in class (really fun discussions on logic eg "If A, then B. A. Therefore B." ok not in exact wordings - but that's the fundamental idea) alrights i think that for CTW, i really want to say something but i'm holding back cuz im not used to doing this in class. I felt the same way for my GEM mod previously and i shld say i quite regretted not saying wad i thought back then, cuz it'd be fun to get into some sort of "arguments" about philo issues. oh wells, i just hope that i'd grow out of myself and learn to speak up when i want to. :D In spite of this, I still won't speak up when i don't want to; but learn not to be held back for fear/face issues. :D Had lunch (~3.00pm) @ Jack's Place @ Marina Square with 4 of my other uni frens today. haha student's meal @ $6.50. "Intensively" read up on student's meal yesterday and was able to intro the menu to the rest on the bus -.- Hmmm beef with spaghetti was ok- sauce was good but rather bland; beef was tough; overall serving size was small. Yet thinking back, I shld say overall it tasted quite ok - at least it made me eat quite fast so shld be rather platable. :D Chatted for quite a well and it felt good. How i wish everyday was like this - just relaxing with different group of frens and having a casual chat. I'm so gonna chiong for NUSSU welfare diary tomolo! Google Chrome Alrights, i almost wanted to say that im gonna switch over to Google Chrome as my default browser cuz IE messes up everything on my desktop. Everything is working fine (speed is superb in comparison) until moments before i blogged about this decision. cuz blogger looks awful on google chrome. Or maybe it's just me -.- I cant resize pictures just by drag-and-pull too! Oh wells, on 2nd thoughts, it beats IE, which simply refuses to accept any photos i wanna upload. Handphones! Which one shld i get? Sony Ericsson or Nokia? Function or looks or price? My mind's changing every single moment :S Nokia 6260 slide offers everything that i ever wanted - WIFI, 5MP camera with autofocus (and flash), and the other standard stuffs. BUT it's nokia :( On SE's side, good camera phone comes without wifi for a hefty price; phones with wifi have got bad camera :S C510, C901, C902, W595, W705, G705.. ?_? Bloody Monday Finally finished watching "Bloody Monday".  Mixed opinion. I cant say it's very very good; there were some draggy parts. Yet everytime when i'm about to give up on the show, there'd be new surprises springing up: thought-provoking lines running thru the screen, dilemma problems etc. Overall it's good. I think the problem lies with me cuz im very impatient when watching show on com (you can just pause or stop or fast forward anytime). If the story just goes loose for 1min, I'd become very sian alr. Prob would hav been better if i could catch it on tv (like dunno how many years down the road :S)I think the "guessing who's good who's bad" part was rather obvious except for the last 2 episode. The identity of K caught me by surprise. which made me like the last 2 eps best. :D Even though it was unpredictable, I was still somewhat disappointed by K's identity. Cuz I din even notice her existence in the first place -.- After reading comments on youtube, I finally realised that she appeared right from 1st episode (lol). I've always thought she was a random character, together with Hide. But what redeemed this disappointment was that the answer was sort of always there. [Just that even if i noticed it, i wouldn't hav found out who was K also. cuz i nv took note of the girl's name to begin with. haha.] Kanzaki Jun - Borrowed identity of J. Take away J and K - Anzai. The identity of K. Still, it was a random choice in my opinion. Why is it her? Anw, i think the heir shld still be J. Why is it K? It seemed as though J was the one "writing all the equations" and allocating manpower to executing the plans; the only part where K entered the picture was to give approval. Or at least that's wad i see. K seemed pretty helpless on her own too. And yes.. I think J is my fav char in the show. Despite him being the public leader of the organisation -.- Actually i dont think he's all that bad. He just enjoys the intellectual challenges and working people around like his pawns working according to his equations. As in, harming others isn't the end he seeked, rather it's a mean that served the end of him enjoying his intellectual supremacy. Of cos it's bad if such a person existed in reality, but it's quite interesting to see such a character appearing on shows. Anw, he din punish Mayo despite his warnings to her initially. And he didn't harm Haruka despite his claim to have done so. Plus the 2 claimed virus attacks were both fakes. I think he gets his kick from playing with people's mind, even though no real harm was really done.  And of cos the best part of the show was the moral dilemmas and the decisions to be made. Kill the leader (his fren) and save 10million people, but you become a murderer? Who to trust? Who's speaking the truth and who's lying? One of my fav.. Proof of truth; Collapse of reality The more truth reveals, the more reality disintegrates. Seems as though we're all living in a false illusion, which i suppose is true. Reality is how we perceive things to be, but do anyone seriously think that that's the truth? Sometimes white lies are told, sometimes people lie because they cannot bear saying the truth, sometimes people have hidden motives. The point being, you never know wad's absolute. Not even reality itself. Another one.. People become weak when there is someone they want to fight for. But, if you didn’t have anything you want to protect, no matter how powerful you are, you are still doomed to fail. --J, Bloody Monday Self-explanatory and true. When we hav to consider others too, we become vunerable cuz we no longer live for ourselves neither can we ignore other's welfare. Yet it also gives us the strength to go the extra mile, if not for ourselves, but for others too. however, if there's only ourselves in our world, the motivation to fight on become meaningless after a while. The show engages the mind, but the best part of it all was the moral dimension. @ 12:27 PM
School Week 1 Okies, one week of school's up! 12 more weeks to go. -.- A peek into whatever went on.. CORS Quite nice to me this time round. Was able to get every module i wanted, without timetable or exam clashes. It was just a tad ex for CTW, but hey i paid only 1 pt for both econs module so i can just pretend that i paid 1 for CTW and 250 for each econs module. :S Even though some of my tutorial slots which would hav best fitted into my timetable is no longer in existence, there were alternatives that i could turn to. Well, at least i din hav to drop the module completely over this rite? Even though I was balloted some ulu time slot for CN2122 tutorial, i was fortunate enough to hav someone who wanted to swap with me [the only person on the swap list, yet he/she came from a timeslot where 2 of my frens were :D] To make things even more fortunate, we were supp to form a group of 2-3 ppl during tutorial to solve a qn, which will be counted towards our grade (15%). Buying Textbooks The only 1st-hand i bought this time round was thermody. At a price of $31.60, it didn't burn my pocket. Anw it's the latest SI edition so we'd only get it 1st-hand. Moreover, used tb were selling at 25-30 -.- I learn that v. good condition to others = poor condition for me. I was so disappointed when i saw many of the 2nd hand book i purchased. Esp for CM, which i din check cuz i tot the person was quite nice-sounding. The pages were totally highlighted until it din seem to make a difference whether there was highlights or not. -.- Nonetheless, i din check all the other books when purchasing too cuz i tot it wasn't too nice. Hence, i won't ramble about the condition anymore cuz it's my fault after all. My Cn2122 seller was very nice - asked me to check + allowed refund. :) I like buying things from nice people. :D And i sort of compromised a bit on the edition to get the cheaper deal. I dunno whether this would work out to be something pleasant or nasty, but i don't suppose there'd be a vast difference? Modules Organic Chem - I dunno why, but i cant really catch wad the lecturer is saying. And i wouldn't know when he changes slides or where he changed the slides to (he can move forward/backward by 1 or more slides) But i guess i'd get used to it over time. I shld think that the module itself shld be enjoyable for me - CHEM! :D Fluid mechanics - he said many things, which i din really catch cuz i din hav my notes with me. Anw, one particular string of words caught my attention. "From tan a, you can get cos a and sin a. First you know tan a, hence you will know tan2a + 1 which gives you sec2a. sqaure root then inverse it and you get cos a. 1 minus square cos a you get sin2a which you square root to get sin a." Tat's really classic (to me) and i dont think i'd forget this whole string of words said in a breath for a long time to come. HAHA! Themody - alrights so far so good i think i like this module too. But he has a classic line too which had the whole LT laughing yet he was there ?_? asking us wad's so funny?! "It's PdV, not PVd or dPV" Read aloud, it's just a permuatation of 3 letters which sounds the same if you're not careful enough :S CTW - lesson starts next week! haix 4 more hrs of workload per week. i hope it's fun though! i think it will be! hope to see interesting discussion, just that i won't be joining in the discussion.. actually i think it'd be even more fun to join in the discussion but i guess i've been quiet for so long that it wouldn't seem natural and yes, i'm afraid to voice out anything. haix. but it'd be fun.. i think. pity that the ethics theme had been used last sem, wonder wad i'd get this sem :S Econs - I quite enjoy all my lessons thus far. Friday the Fourteen Today's Friday the Fourteen. Nothing special except that i... - Was cut by a can tab, which i suppose was deep cuz it bled non-stop for quite some time. - almost had to drag my feet home cuz my shoe strap broke. fortunately, i had a stapler and the help of a fren. - attempted to lean on a pole while waiting for a bus, but instead leaned on a cardboard that was tied to the pole. almost fell backwards, fortunately i hadn't placed my entire weight on the "thing" yet. - realised that the tutorial slot for EC2102 that best fitted with my timetable isn't available for bidding. Bloody Monday am currently watching "Bloody Monday". Overall not bad, but i think it gets draggy at times. Anw.. Found an interesting quote in the show (not in exact wordings) Humans keep their memories in space There were also other stuff in the show that set me thinking (which im pretty sure isn't the wad's the show is trying to bring across anyway :S) I rmb one scene where the nurse was tryin to comfort the 1st infected patient. "There's nothing to worry about".In this case, both the nurse and patient are right and wrong at the same time. Nurse - gave comforting words which were actually empty. Patient - worried about wad's happening to her yet imposed the same sufferings on others. Yet if we were to consider both their situation, both are neither right nor wrong. Nurse - just trying to help the patient feel better, but backfired. Patient - acted out of impulse cuz she tot others din understand her fears? We can understand, but we can't judge. Also, sometimes no words are better than empty words. Being there for others silently instead of saying just cliche comforting yet hollow words might be even better. Textbooks almost settled wohoo~ i managed to buy almost all my textbooks.. finally =X like wad my fren said, buying used textbook is akin to watching the stocks market. Initially i barely checked and in the end, i'd usually miss the textbooks by 30-45min/3hr kinda thing. Supply's way below demand and usually im only interested in the worthwhile deals (aka hot deals that everyone will snap up) my only successful sales was my ssa2204 notes :( 2 of my modules changed tb alr, hence there's no sales at all for my 2 tb :( hence im ever ready to buy 2nd hand tb le, at least not so heart-pain. Debit EC2101 - $20 thanks to xin ying EC2102 - $10 older edition but can save $38 wor~ CN2121 - $31.60 first hand liao; 2nd hand save <$10 only. CN2122 - !? Don't even know wad edition is the correct book CM1501 - $40 just striked the deal! :D but got slight highlight sigh.. nvm lo i camp so many days liao. if i had to buy first hand at $68 after all, it's a waste of my previous efforts. =X EG1413 - I suppose there isn't a need for tb? Though forum ppl claim otherwise. Credit SSA2204 - $10 [actually i alr persuaded the person to get it at 12 le. but after succeeding, my next sms settled px at $10 -.- cuz the readings not very relevant and i don hv ring file to go with notes so in the end i tot i can just forgo that extra $2. HAPPY 44th BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE HAPPY 44th BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE! When we were in pri sch, National Day was quite a big hype. Singing lessons, fanfare on National Day eve, celebration etc. When we were in sec sch, National Day was still quite a special day, although the excitement was of a lower level. It was more about the one-day celebration and one-day off that gets us all happy. When we were in JC, National Day was just another day. Same thing, there's still celebration etc, but more people start to think of various methods to pon the day. The free day overwrites the fun day. Now that we are in Uni, National Day loses its "special" status. it no longers give us a holiday (ok maybe this time round), neither do we have big gatherings in school. It's just another day of break. As usual, watched NDP on TV. When i was younger, i used to look forward to the NDP show. As i grew older, i realised that it ain't all that fanciful anymore but still, I'd look forward to it every year. In recent years, i actually remembered that the NDP show isn't all that eventful as i used to think when i was younger and hence I don't really look forward to it. Nonetheless, having been through NDP itself, the show still brings back fond memories. Maybe there's only 3 big fanciful acts, but the hardwork behind that short ~1 hour show is disproportionately greater. Given the numerous hours of planning and the decreasing pool of ideas, the whole NDP show is indeed a commendable piece of work. No matter how the show is presented, the spirit behind it is greatly appreciated. :D I think that my 2 favourite songs for National Day are :- (1) Home real classic! (2) We Will Get There brings back fond memories. over the years, new songs come and go, but none really stay for long. There's a need for changes, but the more we change, the more frequent these changes fight back and the less we treasure. Wake up! r my eyes playing tricks on me? there's seemingly only 3 CM labs! :D yay! And CTW doesn't start until Week 2 of school. which directly translates into a slacker timetable for me! :D I'm really tempted to transform Monday into a full tutorial day =X Cuz i realise im gg to school for only 2 lessons. *sobs* which actuallymeant that it's even worse (or rather better..) than Tues. :`( Anw i went for a run on Thurs :D i dunno how big that place it, but i estimate it to be around 300m-400m. Jogged 8 rounds and walked 2 rounds. Err and i realise that it's really bad to stop aruptly during a run. cuz my shoelaces came loose and i stopped suddenly to re-tie it. Immediately, my body went cold and all the blood gushed into my head at that split moment. And yes, after that i was running with a headache -.- Anw within the time i ran 8 rounds, my mum walked 5 rounds -.- Okies but at least i ran after how many months. lol! CORS pleasant scare I almost tot that my tutorial balloting went bonkers due to some CORS internal error :S After tutorial balloting ended, wad i saw on the CORS page was that my #2, #3 and #4 choice was indiciated, but not my #1 choice! =X i tot i accidentally changed it or the system did somethign to my account somehow :S To make things worse, i was in maple during that period of time. lol. so if i messed things up and instead of rectifying the mess, I was actually "enjoying" in maple, i really need to bang my head against the wall liao =X Luckily, it was just a case of CORS efficiency. they allocated the timeslot to me already, even though it's supposed to be out only at nite -.- But all in all, it's a good thing albeit the pleasant scare/shock it gave me. *phew. Anw bidding for my last module is fine :D Getting it for 1 pt. whee~ so the thing is.. i need to get the desired tutorial slot in Round 1B. And my other slots in Round 2. :D And i think i've come to a stage where i totallly hate myself for playing maple :S it's a cycle thingy. I can't play too much of it otherwise the irritation in me will overwhelm me -.- time for another cool down period, which shld hav come yest - BUT i went to update the latest patch again. zzz... okies nvm at least i made another ~3mil meso from the patch :D Currently the radio is playing "一起走到”Good old days, do you all still rmb? :D I cant really identify myself with the 2009 NDP song; maybe i've really lived beyond my times. haha. (Excluding labs) And yes.. first time gg to the 2 storey MacDonald @ King Albert Park :S Yes it's at Bukit Timah -.- And yes it's far. haha! :D but good exposure for me la~ im too east-y liao =X and a good break from stoning and rotting at home. Anw wad's irritating was it seemed impossible to enter the building :S cuz there's only a small little slot for ppl to walk in and the whole place's surrounded by wall.. it's big but crowded. lol.  Introducing the Shaker Seaweed Fries, which ought to be called MSG Shaker Fries. The packet of "seaweed" was white in colour and tasted every bit like MSG -.- some more i upsized my fries la~ luckily i was quick thinking enough not to pour all my fries into the bag ^^ still had a quarter of decent fries to eat :D And i tried the double fillet o fish. been a LONG LONG LONG time since i last had this. My all-time fav of Mac. BUT the fish is getting worse. I had an upsized drink and fries (which tasted like msg) so the whole eating experience was quite torturous especially towards the end. :S since the fries had ALOT of msg on it, hence very salty (i can't emphasize enough on the MSG), hence the fries soon became VERY soggy :O all msg's fault - cuz i had another control experiment (my un-msg ladened fries) which was still looking fine. haha. the funny thing is that.. everyone else on the table finished eating le, and the cleaner auntie wanted to collect my tray 3 times -.- i gave in the last time round cuz i had about 10 soggy fries (with lots of msg) left which wasn't appetizing at all.Anw get this meal during lunch time. It's more worth it. 6 bucks "only" - but i highly recommend not upsizing (and hence not getting the msg fries). Thus u "only" pay 5.50 for the double fillet meal :D Note: it's just $1 extra for 1 piece of fillet - wad's most ex in a fish fillet burger? haha.. errr even more random than ever.. i din update my MDWAV blog for a looong time.. :( I haven't forgotten about it but.. Opportunity cost I think i'm too concerned about opportunity cost. lol. tried to shop on IVLE forum twice for 2nd hand tb. Twice i ended up getting nothing. Why? Cause i'd be too bothered about (1) possibility of lower price in the future (2) tio 砍菜头 (3) worrying about condition of 2nd hand tb and the list goes on. By the time i make a decision to sms the sellers, the books often end up sold =x yupz trading's going on fast - a post was made 2hrs ago and when i contacted the person, it's alr sold :O Alr bought 1st hand book for the 1st 2 sems, and it's really a big loss :S oh yes, i havent succeeded in selling any books on the IVLE forum either -.- haha! But anw, i'm not too bothered about all these (as in not very irritated) cuz i think it's quite fun to moniter the price and try to strike a deal (even though my success rate is like 0% thus far haha) anw i dunno wad i was thinking about today, but i retrained my warrior in maple today from lvl24 to lvl30 at one go. When i was at lvl29, my left hand had some nerve issue i think, from pressing the same key over and over again :S but alas, i reached 2nd job :D BUT i havent job advanced yet, gotta choose between (1) fighter (2) spearman (3) page. I think i shld be getting fighter ba :D Page is kinda out of the picture, spearman gotta tolerate ppl's "hb me hb me" but fighter seems relatively quiet in comparison. haha and fighter's supposedly the highest dmg class for the 4th job BUT im not gonna reach lvl 120 (only gonna stay within 30-50 for MC :D) hence it ain't a plus point for me. haha. Shld i add dex, or buy dex eq? (herh! bleed $$ =X) Yes i think i shld say, whenever opportunity cost in involved, i cannot make a decision. be it buying old tb, choosing uni course, dd issue, maple job and skills etc. -.- usually i'll just listen to the 1st advice/the most logical advice that comes my way. haha time to learn how to make a decision! :D Tuesday, August 04, 2009 @ 1:12 PM
Shopping @ Bugis Met up with Sarah and HC for shopping @ Bugis. I'm glad all of us managed to buy something after all :D Plus a surprise! Herh! :O  we started the day off with swensen's banana boat :D BUT! the service was awful! never go back there again !_! we asked for plain water, which never ever came. Sarah waved for bill so many times, and at last she sort of had to shout for the bill. which never came even after 10 min. and at last she shouted for the bill again. after a while, it finally came.. and the people weren't really smiling or wad; had a solemn face. =X  Nonetheless, we had fun self-entertaining ourselves @ Swensens. :D and this was the only pic that all of us took together -.- okies nvm more photos next time! haha..And i realise something about myself.. Service is quite important. I don't have high expectations of service, but if you cant even satisfy my low expectations, then it really puts me off. I'm glad i met good salesperson(s) today. First was @ the Zinc shop in Bugis Junction. :D when i stepped in, she quickly informed the other party on the phone that there's a customer and put if down. Then, she came forth and din stand there with a black face or looking at you suspiciously as though u r about to mess up their shop/steal their things Rather, she was all smiling and gave me several suggestions :D even though i din buy anything, she still smiled while sending us off. Next was @ Bugis Street where i bought my skinny jeans. the shopkeeper was generally friendly rather than some others who really seem to hav attitude problems. I absolutely dislike it when people follow me closely (not bothering to help) and starts tidying stuff when i move an inch away - I don't think I messed things so badly that u absolutely had to re-organise everything so exaggeratedly the moment i move to the next item. Last was the owner of a stall outside Bugis Junction (or maybe it's part of the Junction..) All helpful, friendly and gave useful tips. :D  and hence i bought this bag from him :D and er.. i think my camera phone is lacking in colour differentiation - it's not supposed to be black -.- it's somewhat dark brown. lol anw, i liked the gold/bronze sides of the bag. I definitely won't hav liked such a colour combi in the past (or the leathery feel) but oh wells likes and dislikes change over time. It can be slinged/carried on the shoulder/back. A mixture of many things as usual ... so much for my laziness. I can actually upload my photos onto blogger the moment i hit ctrl+F5. -.-" okies that's good. late is better than never. :D Anw now im really glad i paid 500 for my CTW cuz it means that i hav no more CORS worries till tutorial balloting. seeing others fret over CORS bidding makes me feel lucky in comparison. Anw my temp planned timetable :D  Usually.. So i hav a busy Thurs and Friday :`( And chaotic Wed for 4 weeks.. I'm stil playing with the thought of making Tues my pseudo free day :D Anw 2 days back.. went back to NUS for a talk. I think the most useful bring-back info was that.. there's proposed changes made to our modules.. 3 mod with 5MCs have been changed to 4MCs, but 1 mod in Year 4 has been increased from 5MC to 8MC :O lol nvm i dunno whether the impact is supp to be +ve or not. =X Anw my current thought is that.. i shld stick to econs bah. as in, even if i don want the degree, i shld drop it and declare it as minor lor. it solves alot of decision-making troubles (though it's more of escapism =X) Bye to forensic sci minor (but actually i only like 3 of its modules) Okies anw the few of us hopped over to Bugis after that. and i realised that Bugis lacks wad i want nowadays :S i don really like Bugis street anymore.. i think the things r deteriorating in its quality. :S
so i got to enjoy my long awaited Yoshi Beef Bowl :D with lots of spices..  And we gave a good cake surprise. With a video of the ever burning candle.  And an unglam phototaking session @ Yoshi... -.- LoL! Yupz and for the past 2 days, i've been err playing maple -.- yes i know.. again.. haix. as usual, i feel irritated all over now. :S and i feel the addiction setting in again. which makes me even more irritated than ever. endless cycle. sigh.. I wan2 join CCAs this coming year. :D No more boring sch life liao. But i dunno wad to join. Or maybe i shld say, im not ready to stay til 10+ weekly =X Alrights i'll think about it again someday. Quite interested in Ge Yao as lyricist or Film Arts though. Most prob wil join Engin Club's welfare section with my frens ba. :D |
